LABORATORY 2 OF MEDICAL INSTRUMENTATION

Salam & Greetings !

This is the Laboratory 2 of medical instrumentation. It is a continuation from previous lab so the same circuit was used. Below are the components used for this lab.

Below are the task student need to complete.

Student are required to select a best option of optic sensor based on the application that has been assigned to each group. For my group, we prefer to use photodiode in order to measure the level  of liquid or water.

Amplification Unit

Student required to amplify the signal of circuit from previous lab based on gain given. This means the circuit prom previous lab will be our input signal for amplifier. As the input signal in positive value, we choose to use non - inverting amplifier in order to get 10 as value of the gain.

This is the calculation used to get the value of resistor in order to get 10 as value of the gain.

So we used 18kOhms as R1 and 2kOhms as R2.

Filtering Unit

Student need to choose appropriate filtering circuit in order to suppress the unwanted noise. Thus, we prefer to use low pass filter circuit.

Low pass filter circuit

Then, student need to calculate value of capacitor they need to use in filter circuit.

C= 1/2ΠRF
=1/2Π (1.8k) (8.33 kHz)
=10.61nF

Thus, we used 10nF capacitor.

DAQ Acquisition

Student need to use LabVIEW and DAQ module in order to complete these task.

Then, student required to try 3 time for sensitivity and accuracy of circuit.

That conclude our laboratory 2. Thank you !
